How to Format/Erase XQD Card under Mac OS?

I have an old XQD card. It is too old to use. So I just want to throw it away. But before it I should format it on my Mac to remove all history data information on the XQD card. I never want to other person to get my private information from the XQD card. So, I search solutions on Google for formatting/erasing XQD card under Mac OS. I find some good tools for formatting the XQD card on Mac. In this article, I will write down my experience.
1. Format XQD card with Mac Disk Utility
I recently upgraded my macOS to high sierra. The built-in application – Disk Utility can help me format the XQD card on my MacBook. It is pretty simple. First of all, connect the XQD card with the MacBook and run Disk Utility. It will list all hard drives and external devices on this MacBook. Click the XQD card and erase it with Disk Utility. The Disk Utility will let me select the file system for format, then it will format the XQD card.
However, after the XQD card is formatted by Disk Utility, the data is not permanently lost. After formatting, the XQD card is emptied. It seems like all my private data is lost forever. However, I run data recovery software to scan the formatted XQD card, the data recovery software can quickly find all my files and the files can be easily recovered. So I think this is not the safe solution.
